exploring new ideas through embroidery

Art is the most pure form of self expression, and everything around us is art.

Everything we love doing is art. Not just a beautiful drawing on your fridge or a masterpiece in a museum.

The way we dress, the way we are, the way we move. Every way we can express who we are is art.

We want to give everyone a chance to express themselves a small piece at a time.

  • This started as a hobby, as a gift idea. And when people took notice, they wanted more. With their help; I took pictures of their cars, a shirt and a little bit of vinyl and got to work.

However someone modifies their car, the paint will always be one of the most important decisions they have to make. One of the most difficult aspects of these projects was color matching the base color to the car and keeping the design from looking tacky.

  • It dawned on me that for any car I could use the garment as a base rather than trying to fight the color difference. That and trying to avoid the white t-shirt and 8.5" x 11" iron-on papers at all costs.

There are many methods for printing on clothing. Each with their positives and their negatives. But I fell in love with the vinyl finish of the designs.

  • My biggest challenge was trying to keep details to a minimum. I find myself zoomed in 300% trying to make sure I was satisfied with the smallest details.

Time consuming, but very rewarding to see friends' faces light up when they see the final product. Specially when they point out those small details you didn't think anyone would notice.

  • I've always admired the art of embroidery. The durability of this method of printing on clothing is unmatched in my opinion. So this was always the goal. The designs that started as vinyl I always pictured would look just as good or maybe even better embroidered.

And rather than continuing to dream, we decided to take the step forward.

This is where we are at.

This is the start, and the end is no where in sight.
